Y Area

Located roughly 5 miles away from the casinos and Heavenly Ski Resort, The “Y” is located right where Highway 50 and Highway 89 meets. The Y is located close to several dining options, local businesses and grocery shopping, making any amenity easy to access. Also nearby are popular local beaches like Pope Beach, Kiva Beach, Camp Richardson, Emerald Bay and Valhalla. Along with these attractions come several outdoor activities such as biking, camping and hiking. Schools in this area include South Tahoe High School and Tahoe Valley Elementary.
The Y real estate has quite the mix. While you can find some of the most affordable homes in Tahoe here, there is also new construction available as well as remodels. Lots in here are typical of a flatter terrain and 5,000 sq. ft. which is a decent size for South Lake Tahoe. The view usually consists of forest, since that is the predominant surroundings.
